Anticipation for the SAP ALM Summit EMEA in Mannheim, Germany, had been growing for weeks, and the event week finally arrived. The day before, the Manufaktur venue buzzed with activity as banners were hung, booths were set up, and excitement filled the air. Speakers conducted dry runs to ensure thorough preparation to deliver the best experience for customers and partners.
When the big day finally arrived, the venue came alive with activity. The attendees started to trickle in, greeted warmly by smiling faces at the registration desk. The aroma of fresh coffee filled the air, providing a comforting backdrop to the keynote sessions.
The keynotes featured an exciting and fresh approach delivered by multiple industry experts from SAP, SAP partners and customers. The audience quickly became engaged, sitting up, leaning in, and reaching for their phones to capture the moment.
From the beginning, speakers used various metaphors to explain SAP Cloud ALM, such as “Constant Companion,” and “Guiding Light” which captivated the audience. Explaining a data migration strategy for transitioning from SAP Solution Manager to SAP Cloud ALM on a single napkin is challenging, yet we successfully captured the participants' attention, leaving them eager for more. Our RISE with SAP and Clean Core team colleagues helped us connect the dots regarding SAP’s strategy and how SAP Cloud ALM is the key adoption platform for our customers’ transformations. You will soon find the inspiring session recordings and presentations on our event page.
The time is NOW to start planning your transition!
This Manufaktur venue brought a refreshing, youthful energy to the event. An old cotton ball factory transformed into a modern event space, its industrial chic style embodies the idea of transformation, perfectly encapsulating the occasion. Attendees learned how they can benefit from SAP Cloud ALM for their SAP S/4HANA transition projects and how to align with clean core principles. They also learned how SAP recognizes that transitioning from the cherished SAP Solution Manager to SAP Cloud ALM can be challenging for many customers, but they will be supported with tools and content that will enable them to adopt SAP’s essential ALM solution for the future. Several sessions covered the planned transition methodology roadmap and selected data transition of content from SAP Solution Manager to SAP Cloud ALM, and customer feedback was positive.
SAP Cloud ALM APIs
Attendees experienced real-world examples from our partners and customers that demonstrated how they have consumed, extended, integrated, and complemented their ALM processes. Watching these use cases is a testament to the openness and limitless innovation in the SAP ALM world. One example that captured my attention was the bi-directional Jira to SAP Cloud ALM integration that will evolve into a business-process-based test automation approach for the future.
SAP Partner NTT “conquered the world” with their winning ALM-athon demonstration!
The SAP ALM Summit EMEA was more than just an event; it was a collaborative effort where all attendees played a crucial role. Partners showcased their latest solutions, customers shared their success stories, and the ALM community celebrated the ALM-athon winner NTT. Having been part of the SAP ecosystem for two decades, the sense of community keeps me deeply connected.
Thanks to everyone for all the fulfilling conversations, learning, and sense of belonging, and see you soon at SAP ALM SUMMIT North America at SAP Headquarters (Newtown Square PA) from March 24-26!
PS: I’ll update this post with the link to the event recordings when it’s available.
