What is the Landscape Builder?

The Landscape Builder is an innovative capability within the SAP Signavio Process Transformation Suite designed to automatically create and manage dynamic process landscapes.

It serves as a single source of truth for all process-related information connecting process models, business capabilities, and performance metrics in one view. Instead of manually maintaining process diagrams and hierarchies, the Landscape Builder automatically maps and updates them based on existing workspace data or predefined frameworks like:

  • SAP Reference Business Architecture (RBA)

  • APQC Process Classification Framework

  • Value Drivers by Lines of Business (LoB)

This allows organizations to easily explore, understand, and communicate their process ecosystem – from high-level value streams down to individual process diagrams.

How does it work?

The Landscape Builder connects directly to an organization’s Signavio workspace or ingests an SGX file containing process data.
From there, it automatically builds a process hierarchy and visualizes it as an interactive, multi-level landscape.
