
The following article describes how to customize the business role view as a tabbed view. This can be done for scenarios like Change Request Management, IT Service Management, Requirements Management, etc. The tabbed view gives the user a better overview of all given information instead of scrolling down to find everything.
The customizing for the tile layout starts in transaction SPRO.
To use this function, the Header-Component of the corresponding BSP Application and the Overviewpage Controller Page Key must be maintained. These information can be found in the component workbench in transaction BSP_WD_CMPWB.
Information for Overviewpage Controller Page Key:
For Change Request Management, the entries are often already maintained. For IT Service Management the entries must be maintained manually.
For Change Requests: AIC_CMCR_H
For Change Documents: AIC_CMCD_H
For Incidents: AIC_INCIDENT_H
For Problems: AIC_PROBLEM_H
After saving the entries, the business role where the tile layout shall be used, must be opened with transaction SM_CRM. Choose the custom business role like for example ZSOLMANPRO and open an Incident, Change Request or Change Document (depends in which scenario you want to use this feature).
Click the button "Configure page".
In your customer configuration choose "Switch to Tile Layout".
Choose the tile layout you would like to have.
Assign all relevant assignment blocks to Tile 1 or Tile 2 you need for your scenario.
After saving, the configuration is finished and needs to be transported to the productive SAP Solution Manager to use it.
With the tabbed view for your used scenario in the CRM Web UI the relevant information can be found easier and faster. The tabbed view can be changed in different cells to categorize the information of an ticket you need.
