There is a new role collection for you to assign to your user in SAP BTP, the SAP Document and Reporting Compliance, Cloud Edition – Administrator role collection.
The new role collection includes the roles that give you administrator access to the applications of the cloud edition that are not specific to any process.
The existing role collection (SAP Document and Reporting Compliance, Cloud Edition Administrator) is being deprecated as of March 2024 and we advise you to replace that by the new one (SAP Document and Reporting Compliance, Cloud Edition – Administrator).
Yes, it is only a dash (-) that differs the name of the deprecated and the new role collection, but there are important differences between both of them now.
The SAP Document and Reporting Compliance, Cloud Edition Administrator role collection (deprecated) still exists in SAP BTP and you are still able to assign it to your users but since it is no longer managed by SAP, SAP will not include, to this role collection, new roles that might be necessary for the use of features released as of March 2024.
The new SAP Document and Reporting Compliance, Cloud Edition – Administrator role collection is, as a matter of fact, managed by SAP and SAP will maintain and update the necessary authorizations for you to continue having administrator access to the applications of the cloud edition that are not process-specific.
For having the role collection maintained by SAP with up-to-date authorizations, assign the new SAP Document and Reporting Compliance, Cloud Edition - Administrator role collection to your administrator user as described in Assigning Users to Role Collections.
