I reported previously on the progress that DELL, Intel and SAP are making in the area of Precision Medicine. This collaboration focuses on a joint delivery for health-related analytics, and delivering best-of-breed solutions for organizations in healthcare, life sciences, and related industries. At the center of this activity is the creation of a Reference Architecture that enables streamlined deployment of the SAP Connected Health platform. Features: this architecture will help drive the elimination of complexity and allow faster implementation of SAP´s powerful analytics solutions through a standardized infrastructure complemented by deployment best practices.
This Reference Architecture is based on the SAP Connected Health platform, complemented by the Dell PowerEdge R930 servers with world record performance with latest Intel E7v4 processors. Benefits: The optimized software and hardware combination for Precision Medicine leads to faster go-live, high quality implementations and attractive bundling. SAP Connected Health provides deeper insights, full control, faster innovation (e.g. through fast hypothesis building and testing, through real-time analytics on SAP HANA) and simpler collaboration, extensibility and security.
The Reference Architecture allows the analysis of patient cohorts of more than one million patients in real-time: querying billions of data fields within seconds. Access to genomics data, patient records and ontologies, complemented by flexible data integration and user management to allow data privacy. It is globally accessible for all SAP, DELL and Intel colleagues; on site at the customer. Demo scripts and demo movie for self-training are available.
