The SAP Cloud Platforms Portal is being updated on a bi-weekly basis. In the last month several important enhancements were released, which deserve to write a dedicated blog.

Data Centers Expansion

SAP Cloud Platform Portal (on Multi Cloud) is expending quickly with additional IaaS providers and additional regions. In the following link you can see the latest status availability of the portal in the different IaaS providers and regions. As you can see, portal is already available on AWS, AZURE and GCP.

[1] The map above represents SAP Cloud Platfrom Data Centers availability. [2] As we update our IaaS providers and regions often, please make sure to review the SAP Cloud Platform Regions and Service Portfolio page to get the latest status.

External Access to On-Premise Applications and Data Using Cloud Connector

A common question that I get recently is about the option to integrate on-premise apps (SAPUI5, Web Dynpro, SAP Gui for HTML, etc.) into the portal via the SAP Cloud Connector. Great news here – this functionality is now available! The integration and consumption of on-premise applications and data can now be ‘routed’ via the SAP Cloud Connector.

Integrating Applications from Content Providers Deployed on the Cloud Foundry environment

Integrating SAPUI5 apps deployed on SAP Cloud Platform becomes way simpler now. A new Content Explorer area was introduced to the Site Manager, which allows administrators to explore the content provider (in this case, content deployed on SAP Cloud Platform), select apps, and add them to the sub-account (keep in mind that content created in the sub-account can be used across sites).

Keep yourself up-to-date via the SAP Portal Portfolio roadmap (search for ‘Portal’) and the what’s new area in our documentation.
