To use project tasks to manage the implementation of recommended actions, start in the Issues & Actions Management app in your SAP Cloud ALM tenant to access the list of issues.
In the issue list, select the issue which you want to hand over to the project and select "Create Follow-up Task". You can select one or several issues at the same time.
In the following popup, select the project and project phase in which the tasks should be created and select a task type. Afterwards, confirm the popup.
Once the transfer has been successful, the UI will display a success message and, after a refresh, will display the link to the project task(s) in the issue list.
Via this link, you can directly access the task in the project. You can of course also access the task via the Tasks UI in SAP Cloud ALM for Implementation.
In the task you can see link to the originating action.
Once you set the task to "Done" in the project, the corresponding action in Issues & Actions Management is automatically set to "Done" as well.
An issue identified during an SAP service delivery can have one or more recommended actions that describe how the issue can be resolved. It's these actions that can be transferred into a project / project phase.
All recommended actions for one issue are transferred to the same project at the same time. You can transfer the actions for different issues to different projects, but it is NOT possible to have one recommended action for an issue transferred to project A and another recommended action for the same issue transferred to project B.
Recommended actions can only be transferred to a project once. After the transfer has happened, you cannot transfer the actions for the issue again. There is a 1:1 relationship between recommended action for an issue and the corresponding project task.
Once the tasks in the project are set to "Done", the status of the recommended actions is automatically set to done, too. The issue status, however, remains unchanged until it is manually set to "Done".
