Introduction

In this blog, I would like to outline how customers can get SAP Best Practices content to accelerate their SAP implementation projects using SAP Cloud ALM.

Available Content

The best way to find out what content is available in SAP Cloud ALM, is to just check the tool. You can use your own tenant or you use the public demo tenant. SAP Cloud ALM covers all major SAP products including SAP S/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition, SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP ARIBA, and much more.

Process Scoping

Let’s use the SAP Best Practices for SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition and SAP S/4HANA 2022 Solution Scenarios to define the project process scope for an SAP S/4HANA private cloud project.

First you start the “Manage Scope” app.

 

Then, you can create a Scope. You can add all required Solution Scenarios you need for your project. In this example, SAP Best Practices for SAP S/4HANA 2022 was added to Scope “Plant Berlin”.

 

After you pressed the “Save” button, you can navigate to the detailed process scoping using the “Process Scoping” button.

 

Now you have access to the entirety of available country/region versions. You can filter the processes to find those localisations you are interested in.

 

Now, you can use the switch button to mark processes as in scope for your implementation project. You can conclude the scoping activity by pressing the “End Scope” button.

 

Finally, your project is ready for your Fit-to-Standard workshops. You have access to high value process content such as Diagrams, Test Scripts, or Task Tutorials.

 

You can review the detailed Solution Process Flows and BPMN diagrams, explaining in detail how the applications work. If you need to adjust the flows, you can press the “Copy Diagram” button to create your own custom version of this process.

 

All processes that are part of an implementation project can take advantage of the services and functions SAP Cloud ALM provides. You can right away use them with SAP Cloud ALM capabilities such as Task Management, Requirements Management, Test Management, or Change Management.
