What is Embedded Launch Activities?

SAP has launched ‘Embedded Launch Activities’(EmLA) under a renewed customer engagement model that strives for continuity of an outcome based relationship, with focus on faster adoption of leading practices and value realization for our customers. EmLA is a product entitlement that comes with new RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition subscriptions at no additional cost, upon contract signature after April 1st, 2024.

EmLA begins with tailored customer-facing sessions designed to lay the foundation for a successful implementation for the project team and the customer. These sessions include:

• An introduction to RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition to help the customer navigate their RISE with SAP entitlements and system access.
• When relevant, an overview of SAP Cloud ALM will be provided to discuss its critical functionalities and assist with the setup.
• A focus on the SAP Clean Core Quality Gate to ensure readiness for the SAP Activate Prepare Phase in alignment with the SAP Clean Core strategy

A customer onboarding advisor will contact your designated IT Contact at the contract start to conduct these sessions.

To kick-start your journey, we've designed an Onboarding Journey consisting of five live webinars. Each webinar is specifically tailored to help you get started and succeed in your implementation. Our goal is to provide you with the tools, knowledge, and guidance you need to make the most out of your SAP solution.

Webinar 1 – Welcome and Introduction

In this first session, we'll ensure you've received all necessary communications from SAP and can log in to the system. You'll become familiar with SAP channels, support, RISE with SAP components, and learning opportunities. Our experts will provide foundational SAP concepts to prepare you for your solution's implementation.

Webinar 2 – Project Readiness

This session will equip you with the knowledge to run your project successfully. We'll provide an overview of the SAP Activate Methodology for SAP implementations, cover key tools like SAP Readiness Check, Custom Code Migration App, SAP Fiori Library, and introduce value maps for tailored guidance.

Webinar 3 – Project Guidance

We'll explain how to conduct a fit-to-standard analysis to develop a detailed plan for your workstreams. You'll learn about the main elements of the Explore phase and the first steps in your implementation journey.

Webinar 4 – Project Progress

This session covers key project activities such as solution configuration, testing, and cutover preparation. We'll introduce tools and resources to lighten your workload, corresponding to the "Realize" phase of the Activate methodology.

Webinar 5 – Go-Live Preparation

In the final session, we'll discuss key cutover activities and prepare you for successful adoption post Go-Live. Topics include upgrades, release strategy, maintenance, and innovation with SAP.
