Learn how to create a Redis on SAP BTP instance via SAP BTP Cockpit in your Global Account and on you preferred hyperscaler and supported regions.

Setp-by-setp process:

Please create or use an already existing Sub-Account (SA) and check if you have the necessary entitlements.

Note that Redis service has a minimum number of cache nodes, depending on the hyperscaler (check here), therefore you need to have available a minimum of units of entitlements of memory (Standard service plan = 2GB memory blocks or Premium service plan = 4 GB memory blocks). Please check this blog post to understand service entitlements and metrics.

In this configuration we use single availability zone (deselect Multi-AZ) and server mode (standalone) by setting *️⃣ Cluster Mode to disabled.

*️⃣ For AWS Check: AWS Scaling Redis (Cluster Mode Disabled) and Redis (Cluster Mode Enabled) Clusters

After, select "create", the process can take a while until the instance becomes fully available.

After a successful creation, you can check the instance configuration (via parameters option):

With the instance created, you need a service key to be able to to access the service instance.

Check the service key content to retrieve all the necessary information to access the instance.
