Process Diagram transfer between Signavio – Cloud ALM

This blog details on:

1. status of Cloud ALM – SIGNAVIO connector and
2. alternate possibilities of exchanging the Process Diagrams between these solutions.

With the SAP Signavio Connector, you can transfer business process models from SAP Signavio to SAP Cloud ALM. To enable this integration refer to SAP Cloud ALM Consulting Services

Meanwhile this out of the box integration is in the Signavio Roadmap for delivery in Q4 2024.

The other alternative solution to get the Process Diagrams from Siganvio into Cloud ALM is a manual export/import of these diagram from Signavio to Cloud ALM.

Cloud ALM allows import of Process Diagram’s in only below two format’s:

1. .BPMN format
2. .SVG format

In the Siganvio Process Manager, you can find the option to Export the Process Diagram with below available options.

Select the appropriate diagram and click on Export BPMN 2.0 XML or Export SVG (vector graphics) based on your requirement.

BPMN export and SVG export. Click Export and the files will be downloaded to your local machine.

Now in Cloud ALM import the files in their appropriate category as shown below:

1. BPMN format import to Cloud ALM
   
   
   
   
   Click on Edit and it allows you to Edit this diagram.
   
   
   
   
2. SVG format import to Cloud ALM
   
   
   
   

   Edit button is Disabled.
   
   

   

With these alternate options you can now get the process flow diagrams imported into Cloud ALM until the Signavio Connector is available out of the box.
