20 Partners from 10 countries participated and built innovative solutions during the recently concluded Hack2Build on SAP Build. With the latest SAP Build capabilities delivered recently by SAP, Partners explored and leveraged key functionalities of the low-code, pro-code and generative AI tools for building their innovations.
Partners extend, create, and automate with SAP Build
In this Hack2Build edition, partner used SAP Build Apps, SAP Build Work Zone, and SAP Build Process Automation integration and built applications to guide users through a multi-step process and efficient completion of complex business processes. Partners also used SAP Build Code, the AI-powered code assistance for application creation and code optimization.
The hack phase started on April 8,2025, and concluded on April 15, 2025, with two demo jams. The demo jam saw the partners present their innovations developed using SAP Build in just five working days. A panel of judges chose three winners each, impressed by high-powered pitches.
Group 1 Winners
Jupiter 2000 showcased a Building Facade Inspection Safety Program (FISP) Application enhancing building inspections with AI-generated suggestions and with guided experience report submission. The guided experience offers inspectors to fill out reports accurately and in compliance with regulations. Using SAP AI Core, AI-Powered photo identification for crack detection and image recognition to generate automatically description of facade defects with manual override as needed. The application allows for reviewing, editing, and submitting inspection reports before final approval with a possibility of submission to government departments for streamlined reporting.
Reply introduced NextGen Service Portal designed to improve service request reporting by providing a guided, web-based experience for reporting service tickets using SAP Work Zone and SAP Build Apps. It is a pre-configured guided solution for service-intensive industries which allows internal employees, external partners, and even unknown users to report issues through a simple visual and structured web-based experience. With a guided step-by-step process to report service tickets, structured data input, capability of interactive floor maps and upload of photos, the data can flow directly to SAP Service Cloud for real-time ticket management.
EY developed Smart Automation of Goods Receipts and Purchase Order creation with a central SAP Work Zone site and SAP Build Apps for purchase order (PO) creation, and goods receipt QR Code scanning which eliminates the need for third-party scanner tools, utilizing AI for planning suggestions. The solution eliminates the need for third-party scanner tools, offers a Clean Core compliant and AI-integrated process, with automated and Instant creation of Goods Receipts (GR) or Goods Issues (GI) in SAP S/4HANA, enhancing efficiency and flexibility for warehouse staff using mobile devices.
Group 2 Winners
MOURI Tech developed Guide2Resolve, a complaint resolution solution to streamline complaints at large events like expos and provide enhanced attendee experience and improved organizational efficiency. Guide2Resolve simplifies and accelerates the complaint submission and resolution process using a guided Process, structured, and automated flow powered by SAP Build Work Zone and UI Integration Cards. Generative AI determines category based on issue description.
Cognizant showcased their Case management AI Agent for SAP. They offer a side by side extensibility solution that adheres to SAP clean core principles designed to automate processes, provides user guidance, and improves efficiency, particularly notable in the utilities sector. The solution brings a unified view of all exceptions, and offers case resolution using guided procedures, utilizes SAP Build, Work Zone, and Process Automation to create an efficient digital workspace. The solution harnesses the power of generative AI to deliver a suite of multi-agents that transform case management.
NTT Data’s agri business solution seeks to improve the integration of large-scale weighing operations, crucial for grain transportation. The application receive weights and quality analysis upon soft commodity movements, indicate which trading contract should be used, allows automatic or manual application to contracts, executes goods movement and issues invoicing documents. The solution developed with SAP Build Work Zone with the support of Joule during the development process, utilizes SAP CAP with SAP HANA HDI Containers with a custom SAPUI5 front end. The solution connects to SAP S/4HANA applications by the SAP Cloud Connector.
