In the latest release of the CSDL modeler, when you open a CSDL document using the OData CSDL modeler you will see a "General" view which provides a structure view for the document:
And apparently you can change to the "Diagram" view so that you can visualize the CSDL document in the CSDL modeler canvas:
And if you want to view the raw metadata in XML format you can change to the "Metadata" view:
The metadata view can be useful in case you open the CSDL document from an SAP Mobile Services destination, and we will demonstrate that in the upcoming new blog posts. You can also prune the model by selecting only the entity types you need in terms of building a mobile application based on this model and observe the model change by switching to different views.
