Together with the Global User Groups Organization, I had the pleasure to organize a new webcast series for members of SAP User Groups. The series is planned to start end of February and will cover twelve engaging sessions around "Mastering Day 2 Operations in SAP BTP" - thanks a lot to all the SAP colleagues that are contributing and making this event possible!
If you wonder what "day 2" means in this context - it is just following a way to describe the typical lifecycle in IT:
- You start on day 0 with planning your architecture, selecting your toolchain (such as for CI/CD) and considering security requirements.
- On day 1, you realize your solution - that is, deploy or instantiate cloud infrastructure, implement and propagate your custom app, configure it, and so on.
- And finally, on day 2, you then make sure everything runs as expected - that is, with the right availability, performance, and features, considering security and compliance, and trying to eliminate manual efforts wherever you can.
Accordingly, we will cover sessions from the following categories in our webcast series: what you have to do to administrate and operate the platform (incl. how you can reduce your efforts with automation), how to manage the lifecycle of your custom apps (incl. observability), and how to make sure you stick to security recommendations and manage access to your applications.
