How to integrate SAP Signavio with SAP Cloud ALM, ...

We are pleased to announce that support for the standard integration of SAP Signavio and SAP Cloud ALM has been extended to the SAP Cloud ALM, tenant extension, allowing to integrate SAP Signavio with additionally purchased SAP Cloud ALM systems.

In case you are not familiar with the current integration approach, I highly recommend our previous blog post.

The integration setup of SAP Signavio with SAP Cloud ALM, tenant extension consists of two steps:

Provisioning the connectivity add-on for SAP Signavio solutions, which connects to your SAP Signavio workspace
Establishing the integration to your SAP Cloud ALM, tenant extension

Please note, that an SAP Signavio workspace can still be only connected to a single SAP Cloud ALM tenant. Also, the SAP Cloud ALM tenant still needs to belong to the same CRM customer as the SAP Signavio workspace.

Step 1 – Provision the connectivity add-on for SAP Signavio solutions

First, you’ll need to provision the connectivity add-on for SAP Signavio solutions in SAP for Me. If you have already completed this step, please continue with step two.

To start, enter the SAP for Me Systems & Provisioning page.
In the section of SAP Systems > Systems to be Provisioned you can find the option to trigger the provisioning for each SAP Signavio workspace you own:

After selecting the Start Provisioning option, a dialog will appear to customize the provisioning details.
Select and confirm the SAP Cloud Identity Service and the SAP Signavio System and select Submit.
Please note, that your SAP Cloud ALM, tenant extension system won’t appear here. Therefore, do not select any SAP Cloud ALM system.
After submitting the request, you can track the progress in the Provisioning Status table:
As soon as the status is reported as Provided, you can continue with the next step.

Step 2 – Set up the Integration with your SAP Cloud ALM tenant

To complete the integration, you’ll need to enter the BTP Global Account of your SAP Cloud ALM tenant.

Launch the BTP Cockpit and navigate to your SAP Cloud ALM Global Account. See Finding Your Systems on SAP for Me for more details on how to navigate there. navigate there.
In the left navigation bar, open the System Landscape > Formations view.
Select Create Formation and enter the following details:
- Enter a Formation Name, e.g. Signavio Cloud ALM Integration
- Select the following Formation Type: Integration with SAP Signavio and SAP Cloud ALM
Confirm by selecting Next Step.
On the next screen, select your connectivity add-on for SAP Signavio solutions and SAP Cloud ALM systems. Here, you will now also see your SAP Cloud ALM, tenant extension system.
Navigate to the last screen to confirm the configuration by selecting Create.
Once the status of your formation is reported as Ready, the integration has been completed.

Leverage the Sync to SAP Cloud ALM from your SAP Signavio workspace

Once the setup is completed, you can open a BPMN diagram in the SAP Signavio Process Collaboration Hub – Preview Mode to sync it to your SAP Cloud ALM system.
