1. Determination of Planning Plant from the Enterprise Service Org. 

Overview: 

When the system is enabled with the Enterprise Organizational Model, the planning plant in the Advanced execution order is mandatory in the Service transactions. It was earlier updated manually. Now this can be defined in the customization of the Service organization definition. This allows the determination planning plant for execution items within service transactions from the Service organization. In contrast, under the Legacy Organizational Model, the planning plant is determined directly from the service organization unit or entered manually. 

 How to set up a planning plant in the Service organization? 

  • Step 1.  Configure the planning plant in SPRO. 

         Navigate the following Path in SPRO 

         SPRO -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Service -> Define Enterprise Service Organization.

  • Step 2. Create a Service order with enterprise service organization. During the process, the planning plant is automatically determined from the Service organization. 

 2. Determination of SLA profiles from the Service organization 

 Overview. 

When the enterprise organization is enabled, the SLA profile can be defined within the enterprise structure at the service level. These profiles are automatically determined at the Service transaction items once the service organization is updated, following the access sequence configured in the backend. 

 How to setup SLA profiles. 

  • Step 1. Path: SPRO-> Service -> Transactions-> Setting for Service Transactions -> Define Availability and Response Time.

  • Step 2. Maintain the service profile and response profile in services under enterprise structure. 

         Path: SPRO -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Service -> Define Enterprise Service Organization.

  • Step 3. Maintain the SLA determination procedures and access sequence. 

          Path: SPRO -> Services -> Transactions -> Setting for service requests -> Define SLA determination                  procedures for service transactions.

  • Step 4.  Assign the SLA profile determination procedure for the transaction types. 

Path: SPRO -> Service -> Transactions -> Define Transaction types -> Selection the transaction types.  

Under assignment of Business transaction categories, select services order/quotations, assign the SLA profile in customizing header.

  • Step 5.  Create the service order, once the enterprise org is determined, SLA profiles will get determined according to the access sequence.  

Note: SLA profiles will get determined only when both the profiles are maintained in the source object. 

 3.Determine Main Work center & Main work center plant from the Service team 

Overview: 

Main work center and Main work center plant are mandatory for the Advanced execution items in the Service orders. Already there is a logic to determine the Service team based on the Service organization as the Service org is one of the attributes in the Service team. 

Now the Service team has been enhanced with 2 new attributes: the main work center and the main work centre plant. Once the service team is determined / updated in the Service items, the main work centre, and its plant for advanced execution items in service orders will be determined. 

How to set up Service Team with Main work center and Main work center plant. 

  • Step 1. Enter the main work center and main work center plant in the responsibility definition of the service team.

  • Step 2. Create the service order. Once the service team is determined in the service order, the main work center and main work center plant will be automatically derived from the responsibility definition. 

 4. Enhance the Service Team determination via Enterprise Organization. 

Overview: 

When the enterprise service organization is enabled, the service team is determined based on the enterprise service organization setup. 

How to set up service team determination. 

  •  Go to Service -> Master data -> Define Service Team Determination Rules  
  •  Select Condition -> Assign Attributes. 

 Select the ENTERPRISESERVICEORGANIZATION as responsibility definition in the attribute.

  • Attributes defined within the responsibility configuration will guide the system in determining the appropriate service team in a service order, using a combination of those attributes.

 5. Enhance Flexibility of Spare Part Plant and Storage Location in Definition and Determination. 

 Overview:  

To increase flexibility in defining service organizations, the fields for service part plant and storage location are now optional in Enterprise Service Organizations. This change allows for a more adaptable sequence when determining the appropriate service part plant and storage location. 

The determination sequence is as follows: 

  1. Service Team 
  2. Service Employee + Country/Region/Sales Org/Distribution Channel 
  3. Enterprise Service Organization 
  4. Country/Sales Org/Distribution Channel 

Since the plant and storage location were mandatory in the enterprise organization definition, the system would not reach step 4. With this update, making the service part plant and storage location optional allows the system to go further in the determination sequence, increasing operational flexibility.
