End-to-End Process: Source to Pay
The End-to-End Process Source to Pay encompasses all stages involved in procuring goods or services within an organization, starting from the initial sourcing activities to the final payment to suppliers.
Once you click on End-to-End process (in left Menu) -> Source to Pay, you will find the rubric that outlines “Process Flows”, “Performance Indicators”, “Correction Recommendations” and “Innovation Recommendations”.
Let's have a look at each tab.
Process Flows
Starting from left to right, we will start with Process Flows. Three process flows are available in the discovery edition since 28th March 2025. It was included in the discovery edition to provide initial insights into the valuable capabilities of the solution, allowing you to identify the blockers hindering your efficiency and discover methods for improvement. Note that the full version (SAP Signavio Process Insights) contains more than 105 process flows.

In case you read the blog on available process flows, you can see that the picture provides the Process Flow Supplier invoice issuing (with purchase order) to FI-AP clearing. It measures the number of supplier invoices created in reference to a purchase order in the reference period.
By clicking on “Filter” on the top right you can further narrow the information according to document type as well as by other criteria (company code, creation date, etc.) to discover the number of items created.
The system identified five blockers for this specific source system and shows you exactly on which stage it occurs in the process.

Process Performance Indicator (PPI)
In general, SAP Signavio Process Insights, discovery edition provides you potentially with more than 50 metrics to analyze process data collected from your source system through predefined process performance indicators. Process Performance Indicators are available for a range of End-to-End Processes and Lines of Business, providing you with a holistic overview of your organization's performance.
Process performance indicators offer essential metrics that quantify the effectiveness of your business processes. These indicators are at an operational level, enabling process owners and experts in identifying potentials for optimization within their business processes.
The screenshot above provides an overview of the performance indicators in the End-to-End process Source to Pay.
Performance indicators with high metrics are typically those that you need to prioritize first, because they provide the most value to your processes when improving them. To find out which PPI's you need to focus on, you can sort the data in the following column.
You can filter the list of performance indicators by selecting one or more categories (screenshot below). To drill down into more details and start your root-cause analysis.
Filtering capabilities explained:
