Content Agent now supports modifiable Transport Request

Overview

With the latest release of SAP Content Agent, you can export the development changes from SAP BTP services such as SAP Integration Suite,  Role Collections, SAP Mobile Services etc. to an existing modifiable transport request created in SAP Cloud Transport Management Service. You can also choose to create a new Transport Request and select the option to keep it modifiable. 

This feature would help the users to collect all related changes and iterative changes into single transport request which makes it more manageable to review and process the requests.

Try it out!

  1. Launch the Content Agent UI from your development account by subscribing to the "free" plan and assign the required "Content Agent Export Operator" or "Content Agent Admin" role collection to your user.

  2.  Launch the UI, and navigate to Content Types page. Check the status of the content type that you wish to export and if it is inactive, use the automation feature.

  3. Navigate to Export page and use the wizard steps to select and export content.
    There are two options provided to you. 
    a)  You can choose Create a New Transport Request option if you want to create a new request in Cloud Transport Management. You can Select the checkbox Keep this Transport Request modifiable if you want to append content later to this transport request.

     b) Choose Existing Transport Request presents the input box to type in the Transport Request Id. The UI also provides the option to view the list of existing modifiable Transport Request ID along with description and source node. This would append the content bundled as MTAR into the existing Transport Request in Cloud Transport Management.

  4. Proceed to the next step in the wizard which triggers an asynchronous process. Once completed, you can check the Activities Performed page for more details.

  5. Navigate to the Cloud Transport Management UI to view the complete details of transport Request status.
