ALMathon focuses on SAP Partners who want to leverage SAP Cloud ALM and create extensions which are making tthe usage of SAP Cloud ALM more efficient as a partner of SAP.
The CHALLENGE 2024 was given as follows:
"Realize (!) a Partner use case in SAP Cloud ALM.
Showcase in the system your partner scenario."
The challenge started in May, and it ends at SAP ALM Summit EMEA with the pitches of the 6 elected TOP teams.
The winning team will be decided by voting of all summit participants plus a jury of executive experts of SAP Cloud ALM.

The ALM-athon is a virtual challenge of many partner teams who are actively contributing in the SAP Cloud ALM community. This year 12 teams have registered. The TOP 6 team pitches will be presented live on stage at the ALM Summit in Mannheim end of September.

From Signavio Process Manager these processes are transferred to SAP Cloud ALM by our Swisscom solution, the Business Process Model Genie.

Processes play an important role in the implementation phase in SAP Cloud ALM. In many situations, custom content like process documentation is already available at customer side. Business Process Management (BPM) tools like ARIS are used to gather and maintain process information and to communicate processes throughout all relevant stakeholders.
These custom processes are relevant input (e.g., for Fit-2-Standard Workshops) for the SAP Cloud Implementation team. ARIS offers a new standard exchange capability to import BPMN models as well as SVG graphics for processes modeled in other notations. For BPMN based models imported from ARIS, tasks, pool, events, etc. are imported as model elements. This content (Solution Value Flow and assigned Solution Process Flows) is made available in Process Authoring App as well as in Processes App to work further on and assign Requirements, Notes etc.
Furthermore, SAP Cloud Implementation Team Member can easily navigate to the original ARIS model using accelerator links and access additional information, e.g., to better understand why the process is designed in the given way or which additional aspects are relevant.

TARDIS - Toolbox for Archiving and Recovery of Data in SAP Cloud ALM
This application enables the scheduling of snapshots for SAP Cloud ALM data, storing them in a self-hosted database (either in the cloud or on-premise, depending on your infrastructure). These snapshots allow for the recovery of data, whether it’s the entire dataset or selected portions. You can also compare live data in SAP Cloud ALM with different versions stored in the database, enabling the restoration of the desired version back into the system. This includes recovering data that has been deleted from SAP Cloud ALM. Additionally, the application supports importing data from other platforms like Jira, ServiceNow, and more, integrating it into SAP Cloud ALM.

In today’s fast-paced business environment, managing Release and deployment Approvals can be challenging and time-consuming, especially when decision-makers are away from their desks. To optimize this process, it’s good to have the flexibility in approval process via Mobile Devices using Cloud ALM. This solution offers a user-friendly approval approach, making it easier to approve the changes with robust authentication and authorization mechanisms on mobile. One of the key elements of this Cloud ALM feature is the ability for users to monitor and manage tasks in real-time. To keep the process moving smoothly, the system sends email and push notification for defined approval steps directly to approver's mobile devices so that the approval can be done on time. SAP Cloud ALM Mobile Workflow Approval is an essential tool for modern businesses looking to optimize their release management processes.
In this case the trigger for the mobile workflow approval is located in the feature which is included in the release management in Cloud ALM. With this new feature the workflow step triggers the push notification and e-mail to the approver in real-time. The approval for the specific change/transport can be made via mobile device.

Intelligent selective data transition to SAP Cloud ALM with oxando Data Migration
Problem Addressed:
Customers have the need to identify the scope and amount of SAP Solution Manager data in particular processes and related documents relevant for the transition to SAP Cloud ALM. Selective data migration is essential for achieving a smooth transition to SAP Cloud ALM by selecting and moving only relevant data and ensuring the protection of investments done in process documentation.
Innovative Aspect:
To reduce the time and effort for data migration we use AI Models for data selection and extraction, based on a process scope defined in SAP Cloud ALM. We fully automate the data import to SAP Cloud ALM.
How does the application work?
- Define a target scope in SAP Cloud ALM based on the SAP Best Practices Content
- Select the relevant structure in Solution Documentation and start the data retrieval process
- AI Module will use a predefined (customizable) prompt to retrieve the data and return a proposal for the migration
- Review and select the relevant data from the list
- Transfer to SAP Cloud ALM target scope with a single click
