What is SAPUI5 ?
The UI development toolkit for HTML5 (SAPUI5) is a user interface technology that is used to build and adapt client applications. The SAPUI5 runtime is a client-side HTML5 rendering library with a rich set of standard and extension controls. It provides a lightweight programming model for desktop as well as mobile applications. Based on JavaScript, it supports RIA like client-side features. SAPUI5 complies with OpenAjax and can be used together with standard JavaScript libraries.

- Use the SAPUI5 tools in Eclipse to develop an MVC (Model View Controller )based SAPUI5 application and get to know
the utilities they provide. - Currently SAPUI5 only support the browser (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, iOS, Android, Portal, UI,
Mobile Web Application, Web application, mobile browser) which has HTML5 capabilities are supported. - This can be used to develop application for mobile and desktop .
- For creating mobile application you need to add additional called sap.m, which is optimized for mobile devices.
Upgrading is easy
SAPUI5 plans to be a so-called Release Independent Component (RIC). An important constraint for this is that it must be as simple as possible to upgrade to a newer version.
Debugging/Troubleshooting capabilities
Browsers behave differently with regard to the debugging tools they assist
For examples :
a) Chrome provides excellent built-in debugging
b) Internet Explorer provides built-in developer tools.
c) Safari browser provides remote debugging on mobile devices
