Continuation of Part 1 : Integration of a SAP MaxDB into CCMS of an SAP System : Part 1.

12. After the environment is adjusted you need to re-login as user "<sid>adm" and restart the SAP system.

Registering SAP MaxDB/liveCache databases in the SAP CCMS:

1. Use transaction DB11 or DB59 to register SAP MaxDB databases.
   
2. Create connection using integrate database option to MaxDB database. Enter DB connection name and select database type as MAXDB.
   
3. The CCMS integration dialogs are asking for users DBM Operator and Standard Database User. Be aware that the DBM operator for the connection is CONTROL. The database administrator which is used for SQL accesses to the database is SAPR3 on Content Server databases or SAP<SID>. Here, SID refers to the name of the SAP System to be integrated.
   
4. Once Maintain the all required details Save the Database Connection details.
   
5. Now database connection has been created.
   
6. Check the connection test.
   
   
7. Connection established successfully.
   
   
   
8. Once this has been setup , we are all set to monitor the database in DBACOCKPIT. Using the DBA Cockpit option in transaction DB59.
   
9. Now we can able to see the Content Server Maxdb Data , Log, Session, current Settings and db attribute details.
   
10. Now we can able to schedule the (data/log) backup from here.
    
11. As usual we can schedule the backup.
    
12. Add to create backup schedule for Content Server.
    
13. Select complete data backup and select backup template is nothing but backup store file system location and file name with some necessary backup details as per your convivence.
    
14. Based on our requirement configure backup recurrence.
    
15. Once this complete save it.
16. If you want to take log backup choose log backup instead of complete data backup.
    
17. Now Data and log backup has been scheduled for SAP content Server/DMS.

19. Bonus information if you are creating template in MAXDB use the following template to take backup Device/File name based on date and time.

20. we cannot use this template #YYYY-#MM-#DD for Log backup.
