Overview: This blog will guide you through the configurations to implement SAP SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics with SAP SAC. This Connection allows you to import models from Workforce Analytics.
Prerequisite:
Now will see the step by step process of configuring SAP SuccessFactors with SAP SAC.
Step 1: Let’s start from SAP SuccessFactors,
Logon to success factor system and check the workforce Analytics module is enabled.
Step 2: Go to Admin Centre ,Search for Manage OAuth2 Client Applications and choose Manage OAuth2 Client Applications.
Step 3: Click on Register Client Application, Enter the following parameters.
Parameter | Value |
Company | The name of your company. This value is pre-filled based on the instance of the company currently logged in. |
Application Name | A unique name of your OAuth client. |
Description | optional description of your application. |
Application URL | A unique URL of the page that the client wants to display to the end user.i.e. https://anyuniqueurl.com |
X.509 Certificate | Generated by the system |
Issued By | SuccessFactors |
Common Name(CN) | The name or IP address for which the certificate is valid. |
Organization(O) | (optional) The entity to which the certificate is issued. |
Organization Unit(OU) | (optional) The organization unit of the entity to which the certificate is issued. |
Locality(L) | (optional) Name of Locality of the entity to which the certificate is issued. |
State/Prov.(ST) | (optional) Name of State or Province of the entity to which the certificate is issued. |
Country(C) | (optional) Name of Country of the entity to which the certificate is issued. |
Validity(Days) | The number of days for which you want the X.509 certificate to be valid. |

Generate and Download X.509 Certificate, Save the private key to use it in your client application.
Click on Register. You will return the application screen and then click on View form, copy the API Key value and save it.
Now, The SAP SuccessFactors OAuth Client application is created for SAC connection to access SF API.
Step4: Once the setup in SAP SuccessFactors is ready, then move on to SAP Analytics cloud.
Go to connection ->Add New connection->Select SAP SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics.
Step5: Enter Connection Name and then enter the Service URL based on the system environment
The service URL is based on the data centre you are connecting to and can be found in the Workforce Analytics documentation Environments Supporting the Integration.
Enter the User ID and give the API key which copied in Step3,Then upload the Private Key download from SuccessFactor OAuth2 configuration ,refer step3.Finally enter the company ID and click on OK.
Connection established successfully,
Output:
Go to SAC -> Modeler->Create Model->select SAP SuccessFactor Workforce Analytics->select the connection which you created.
Select the required data and click on OK.
Now ,you could see the data is loaded into SAP Analytics Cloud model.
