Establishing the Connection From SAC to SAP Datasphere

Hello All,

I am Abdul Suhana, a Technology-Associate Analytics Consultant working in at Phoenix Business Consulting. I would like to share how to establish the Connection From SAC to SAP Datasphere

Overview: This blog post will explain the step by step process of Establishing the Connection From SAC to SAP Datasphere. Whether you're new to this configuration, this information will guide you to establish the connection quickly.

Prerequisites:

  • SAP Datasphere
  • SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Please follow the below steps.,

Step1: Log in to SAP Datasphere Account, Go to System -- Administration--App Integration

Here in the Trusted Origin-> Add the SAP Analytics Cloud URL and click on Save

Step2: Login to SAP Analytics Cloud, Go to Connection Tab

Click on New connection.

Select the data source. Click on dropdown ->Connect to Live Data Data source

Select -> SAP Datasphere

Step3: Enter the Name and Description of the connection in the Sap Datasphere Connection Details, give the URL of the SAP Datasphere system under the ‘Host’.

           Enter Port number-> 443

Click on Ok, then enter the Username and Password of the SAP Datasphere system.

Output: Connection established

Step4: Now Login into SAC Account, Go to stories and Select the Optimized Design Experience.

Select the chart and choose Database as DWC

Click on DATASPHERE_SPACE folder and select the model.

Here in this space we can see the analytical models if created.

Step5: Choose the Analytical Model in stories

Double click on the model, and we can able to access the stories in SAC.

Voila!!! Now we can create Stories in our SAC account with datasphere connection.
