ALM Nuggets: Creation of Public Views on SAP BTP for SAP Cloud ALM

Introduction

With this blogpost I will describe the new possibility to create public views, which can be used by all users within your SAP Cloud ALM tenant.

Views

You find views in mostly every Apps in SAP Cloud ALM on the top left side.

Steps on the SAP BTP Cockpit

Open your SAP BTP cockpit:
https://cockpit.btp.cloud.sap

Open the subaccount that contains your SAP Cloud ALM tenant:
Choose Security  > Role Collections > Create 

Name: Public View Editor
Description: Create and edit public views, which are shared with all users in your SAP Cloud ALM tenant.

Under Roles, select the role FlexPublicViewEditor and choose Add and click on Save.

Under Users, select all users who should be able to create public views and click on Save.

It is now possible to create public views.
And every SAP Cloud ALM user can use the public views.

In the user management of SAP Cloud ALM you can now also see the new role:
