SAP SCT CPE Creation / Configuration of a new custom CPE

Hi everyone,

Working on SAP SCT i'm trying to create my own "workflow"/CPE via the modeling part,

First, I created a new environnement (to not changes the basics CPE packages)

And then i'm trying to understand the ETL of the back-office, do someone has some advices ? The goal would be to run calculations to get CO2 emissions by inputing emissions factors and measures like Kwh in SCT !

If I understand correctly, you are talking about 2 capabilities.

a) CO2 emissions calculation: Did you look at PFM (product footprint management) solution? This solution allows you to calculate emissions footprint. You can either manually load your footprints or extract from S4. Then, based on emission factors, you can run calculations.

b) SCT: Per my understanding, the functionality that allows to create your own CPE for the purpose of setting up your own workflow/data model may not be available as of April.

Correction: I just learned that there are some product updates. I suppose you are referring to these new features that are released in May. I have not looked at those features.

Thank you very much for your response.

I have been working on PFM and it indeed allows for easy calculation of emissions footprints. Currently, I am working on the latest features of SCT. It now enables the creation of custom sustainability metrics, but there is a limitation:

" You can use all SAP Sustainability Control Tower-supported measures to create your custom metric, but you cannot create your own measure." Sustainability Metric Extensibility | SAP Help Portal

However, I am actually trying to create a new environment within the "modeling" part that would allow me to perform calculations similar to what we can do with PFM but in SCT.

The goal would be to import a "emission factors" table, a "measures" table, and then run the calculation in SCT with a join function but i'm open to other ideas or processes ...

Hi @jonahcabaye, Were you able to use the custom measure from new CPE environment as a source in custom sustainability metric?

Is there a way we can access new CPE enviroment for reporting?

Ahahah... No, we haven't been able to customize a CPE to create a custom sustainability metric. If you are thinking about CSRD reports? It's not working for the moment. From what I heard, SAP has recommended making reports on SAC...
On our part we havn't been able to make clear reports without troubles in SCT for the moment.
