SAP PFM - destination in SAP BTP OK, in import data-app not OK

Hello,
we have set up the destination and cloud connector settings for connecting the SAP Product Footprint Management solution on SAP BTP to the S/4HANA on premise system according to the documentation.

The connection check in the SAP BTP destinations (SAP_SUS_IN, SAP_SUS_OUT) area show "connection successful". But when we trigger the app "Import data from SAP S/4HANA" the response is "not connected" and the error message goes: "Set up the destination SAP_SUS_IN in your subaccount."

Any idea how to resolve this issue?

Thanks

Hello again,
we finally managed to fix it. There were some authorization roles missing, which wasn't reflected in the error message properly and also not yet mentioned in the configuration guide.

Unfortunately I cannot upload the pdf-file here, but if you are facing the same issue, just create a SAP incident at SUS-PFM-INT.

Hello Olaf,

Thank you for posting the question.

Could you please double-check if the SAP S/4HANA On Premise system you are trying to connect to is updated to the latest 2021 version? The import of data via the Fiori app is only supported for SAP S/4HANA 2021 (and higher) and SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2108 (and higher). For other versions of the source system the data should be imported via the APIs from SAP API Hub.

If your SAP S/4HANA system is running the 2021 release, then apart from testing the destination check it is also good to check if the system is showing as reachable in the Cloud Connector and the status is green on this component as well. For a more detailed information on configuring the connection between SAP PFM and an SAP S/4HANA on premise system, the documentation can be found here.

If this doesn't seem to bring you further, I would suggest you open an incident with the SUS-PFM component, and the colleagues will help with a resolution.

Best regards,

Dasa

Hi Dasa,
thanks for your reply.
We are connecting to S/4H Rel. 2021 and in the cloud connector and SAP BTP-destinations everything looks fine (green traffic lights) but the connectivity issue persists.

So we created a SAP incident and I hope this will resolve our issue.
Thanks and kind regards

Olaf

Hi again,
the issue was related to missing authorization roles of the interface user in S/4H.

After adding them, the connectivity issue was resolved.
As I cannot upload a pdf-file here, maybe Dasa, can you share a link to this document: 5IM_S4HANA2022_Set-Up_EN_XX.pdf. in the 2022-version of this document, the missing roles have been added.
Thanks
