What aspects of MRP, ERP, ATP specifically using the ECC 6 SAP platform, assist in sustainability and corporate social responsibility? For Weyerhaeuser the answer is using 90% of each tree harvested on 60 year renewable cycles. Aggressive lab testing to increase growth of trees and INVENTORY RECORD ACCURACY. We are trying to achieve better control of material assets and product. By doing this a key bet is that we reduce the need for additional product production.
How can I explain the role ATP has to play here?

If ATP in this context means "Advanced Technology Programs" I believe there are a number of applications that are tangential to the topic of sustainability and CSR.
First on that list I would like to Governance, Risk and Compliance components (GRC). [ GRC|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/bpx-grc] is meant to "Improve regulatory compliance by closely aligning your risk-based processes with your corporate strategy and the continuous and automated monitoring of controls."
Perhaps also from a CSR perspective, one should look at the Environment, Health and Safety including [product compliance|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/bpx-grc?rid=/webcontent/uuid/c0b21f1f-09a8-2910-f392-93ecd05f4aea] [original link is broken];
Excellent reporting and reporting capabilities would seem to me to be imperative. That would mean a long hard look at your analytics.
I intend to attend a conference on GRC and CSR next week.
Perhaps I'll return more informed and better equipped to answer your question.

Hi Andrew,
It looks interesting topic... Can we talk little more to take it to the next level?
