Hello SAP community,
end of February an official competition called "factor-2 challenge" or 'Wattbewerb' will launch in Germany to motivate cities and communities to do more in fighting the climate crisis, by having a public race to double their amount of locally installed solar panels. I think this is a nice match with our Climate 21 initiative. More information here https://faktor2.solar/ (in German). Already, around some 50 cities have signed up for this, and there is quite some momentum as this is pushed by several organizations, for instance by the ubiquitous Fridays-For-Future movement.
The question: could it be imagined, that SAP provides the IT infrastructure and application to run this competition on?
(basically participant communities need to be able to register themselves, put in a monthly summary of their growth in installed PV generation, and look at the overall results)(and of course some forums to exchange ideas, initiatives and questions would be great)
I am asking this question as the people behind this initiative are full of ideas and energy, but not very IT affine, and actually struggle a bit to get this application up and running.

Hi Oliver,
thank you so much for your question. Unfourtunatly, as of today, there is NO SAP donation program in place, which supports the processing of your request. However, it sounds like the factor-2 challenge might also be interested in skilled volunteers? If that's the case, I would like to point you into the direction of our employee engagement platform SAP Together, where you can create a call for volunteers reaching over 34k skilled SAP employees. If you need more support please do not hesitate to reach out to volunteering@sap.com.
Best,
Eva
