This past Saturday was International Earth Day - an annual event to remind us as humans to protect our environment and to raise awareness of the alarming rapid changes we are facing.

It is only now that we can change how we are going to live in the future. Invest in our Planet is this year’s Earth Day’s official theme and SAP is exactly doing that by offering business solutions that are more sustainable.

“Doesn’t sustainability imply bigger expenses for businesses?”, you may be asking.

Being sustainable shouldn’t have to come at the price of sacrificing organizational performance. SAP is committed to act and help companies be sustainable and profitable through the help of many SAP Sustainability Solutions.

There are several aspects and definitions when it comes to sustainability. One of them is the carbon footprint. Carbon Footprint is widely known as a sort of measurement of how sustainable human production or consumption actions are.

The Learning Journey Take Action on Climate Change with SAP Product Footprint Management is there to help you calculate, manage and reduce the Carbon Footprint of your products and value chains within your business. In this beginner-friendly Learning Journey, you will learn how to work with the SAP Product Footprint Management solution and how it is integrated into the SAP system landscape.

Apart from simply reducing the carbon emissions from human consumption and production, it is also very important to look at how we can use more efficiently and more importantly reuse our resources, especially when it comes to packaging. With that ever-growing need to recycle and rethink packaging, especially when using plastic, it is important to understand how you can improve the circular economy within your business. The Responsible Design and Production for the Circular Economy Learning Journey will help you to create corporate sustainability models and incorporate the circular economy into your supply chains.

After you’ve finished one or both of these Learning Journey’s you’ll be rewarded with a free badge to show off your newly gained knowledge.

Everyone hast the opportunity to make change happen. But it’s up to us to make the change for the better.
