SAP is making waves with headlines across news outlets in the United States and globally this quarter. This section is dedicated to highlighting relevant news for our partners to stay informed on how our company is continually growing and pushing the edge of innovation.

SAP CMO Jonathan Becher joined CNN on Super Bowl Boulevard as we announced SAP’s partnership with GENYOUth for ‘Fuel Up to Play 60’. This initiative is supported by the NFL, 50,000 American dairy farmers and GENYOUth. It encourages school children to eat healthily and take 60 minutes of physical activity every day to help fight childhood obesity. SAP is donating $3 million to GENYOUth’s AdVenture Capitalism program which fosters social entrepreneurialism in the young generation. The partnership from SAP will empower and fund youth-led initiatives to drive new and innovative ways for improving nutrition and physical activity in schools across the USA. SAP CSR is transforming education by launching our signature initiative, high tech high schools. This year will see the opening of Business Technology Early College High School, informally known as B-TECH in Queens, New York. We are partnering directly with the NYC Department of Education and several nonprofits as we take on the challenging task of revolutionizing learning in North America. Preliminary financial results for the fourth quarter and full year ending December 31st indicate strong revenue growth. Co-CEOs Bill McDermott and Jim Hagemann Snabe released a statement acknowledging that “We have delivered on our promise of double-digit growth in 2013 and have outperformed the competition.” SAP HANA software revenue increased 69% to €664 million. Non-IFRS subscription revenue increased 10%, while software and software related revenue grew at 11% marking the fourth consecutive year of double digit growth. Starting April 2014, SAP will have a new global head of Human Resources, Stephan Reis. Stephan joins the SAP having held HR leadership positions with Compaq, Microsoft and most recently, Egon Zehnder. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in talent acquisition as well as talent and leadership development. SAP, in partnership with Yunus Social Business (YSB) startups, is proud to announce that the Haiti social business model is fully operational. Founded in 2011 by Peace Nobel Prize Laureate Professor Yunus, YSB helps create small to mid-sized enterprises and social businesses that generate profits to serve social objectives. Since 2010 with SAP support, YSB has been able to establish seven social businesses and will continue to grow significantly over the next 18 months.
