Last year 700 nonprofits across the US and Canada took advantage of SAP’s software donation program, which represented close to $700,000 in-kind retail value of our analytics software solutions. The program, which has been running since 2008 when the company acquired BusinessObjects, has benefitted 4,000 nonprofits across the globe. SAP partners with Tech Soup, an organization whose focus is to provide non-profits with technology to help them fulfill their missions.
Currently, we offer three products through TechSoup, mostly business intelligence and data visualization software, such as our SAP Crystal Dashboard Design solution, our SAP Visual Intelligence Software and SAP Crystal Reports. For a small fee, one NGO can access one product per year up to 10 user licenses. SAP is also working on increasing the number of product offerings by the end of the year.
“Running SAP’s world-class software allows nonprofits to make the most of every dollar donated by becoming a more efficient organization and operating with more transparency,” said Merisa DiRocco, SAP US CSR Head.
This year, the Technology Donation program will also feature Monthly Expert Sessions with SAP employees to provide insight to companies that download or are interested in downloading the software. Product experts will conduct demos and be available for Q&A virtually at this time. For a full list of those webinars please see the end of this article.
There still is and always will be a place for a donation of dollars. But to make a sustainable difference in communities, organizations must run better. SAP’s software can help them do that. To learn more about Tech Soup and SAP’s BI software donations, visit the SAP page on TechSoup here.
