Z Field in the Storge Bin

Hello,

I want to create a Z Field in the Storage Bin(/n/scwm/ls01)where it can carry 30 char lenght.The purpose of this Z field is i want to store my Legacy bin numbers as Reerence.I should be able to load the reference bin as well when i do the Bin Upload with the SAP Provided Template.

This Reference Zfiled should also be seen in the warehouse Monitor.

Please Advice on this.

It is not advisable to change the standard SAP screen however you always have a provision to create a custom table and perform one to ne mapping for any specific process.

Also if your warehouse process is maintained in Legacy system then why do you want to carry out the master data and process in EWM once again (two different system SAP EWM and Legacy)

My Warehouse Process in EWM system not in the Legacy.Business wants to have the Old Bin Numbers for Reference until users get comforatble with new Bin names.

Change management is always difficult to maintain...still my suggestion would be train your resource rather then making some modification in system by doing this you  will end up making a legacy system in SAP EWM
