Wm stock upload

Hi All

Already stocks in IM in xyz location and I have activated wm for xyz location and I want materials to be placed in bin. Can I follow below procedure.

Creation of LT01 and given the values in to each bin proportionate to IM quality.

Ex IM-B MAT= 1000 AND I will upload stock to wm by LT01 In to 10 bins.

Im = wm

1000= 10 *100 bins. Through 921 movement type.

Let me know if I Am wrong.

Hi,

If you have to activate WM for a IM Storage location which already have stock. You have to follow the below steps..

• Create a virtual storage location and move the stock from the IM location to the virtual via transfer posting with 311 movement. (0r) Use a Storage location which you already have in the system for this purpose.
• Assign Warehouse to the Plant / IM location
• Move the material back to the original storage location. and system will create a transfer requirement (TR) in the WM enabled storage location. This TR can be converted into a transfer order via LT04 and based on the master data and configuration system will determine the appropriate bins in the warehouse.
• Finally you can confirm the transfer order via LT12
