Hello everyone,
this question is for WM not EWM (but there seems not to be a tag for WM anymore).
we have a scenario where the sales person has to pick a specific serial number already in the customer order. This specific SN has then to be picked for the outbound delivery.
If you would use MM/IM only, this would not be a problem. There I can easily pick the correct serial number. But with WM involved it seems that I have to create the transfer order beforehand and have to pick a material which might not be the SN we have to pick.
I also tried to activate HUs for this matter but this seemed not to help for picking the correct SN in the warehouse. Am I missing something here or is it really not possible with WM?
Best regards,
Kai
Request clarification before answering.
It can be achieved, using enhancement, develope one program, you will pick quantity and assigned serial to Outbound delivery once it is done then pgi is done, just think u will get it
long time I worked on same process but it was already running
4 years back I worked on the process where it was already running .

Hi,
the tag for WM is Logistics Execution.
To your question: no, WM does not know where in the warehouse a specific SN is, so you can not control picking for it. With Handling Unit Management active it should work, as when you pack a SN controlled material in an HU, you need to say which SNs. you pack and by that you should know where it in the warehouse a SN is.
