Why null values are not taken by IBP?

I am working in CPI- DS team. I have mapped data field coming from Warehouse directly to ibp without doing any transformation. In this scenario, it is throwing error. If I hardcode to static value or put nvl then it is working fine. Any reason behind ibp why it is not accepting null?

I don't know why IBP is not accepting null,
But If the mapped item value is a NULL, it can be accepted by Global Parameter setting in IBP application.
If nothing is mapped to IBP target items, an error will occurr. you need to hardcode or set the static value.
