While placing order from SAP ERP the ATP check in APO is check wrong PAG

While placing order from SAP ERP the ATP check in APO is checking a wrong PAG and not referring to the production allocation group (PAG) maintained against the product allocation procedure (PAP) in the ATP tab of APO material master.

Product : P1
Location : L1
Batches : B1 & B2
PAP maintained on material master at P1 & L1 level : PAP1
PAG linked to PAP1 is PAG1
while placing order for batch B1, the correct PAG (PAG1) is being checked.
But while placing order for batch B2 for the same material/location another PAG(PAG2) that is not maintained in the material master in APO is being called and show the CVC error.

Characteristics combination for item 0303956542/000010 was not found

Please help if anyone has encountered/resolved this error.
