Hello IBP community fellows,
Although I know that fair-share is one of the choice when optimizer is used, I am wondering how a planner can choose supplying mode(push or pull) for each location × product in IBP. This might be a rudimentary question though, it would be appreciated if someone kindly answer the question or provide me with useful URL or document. After all, all I wanna know it the following. Thank you.
Q1: what is the all supplying mode supported in IBP
Q2: the setting to realize the mode

Hello Kenta,
Push and pull strategies can be achieved with the adjusted key figures. For example in transportation, you can achieve pull method by using upstream adjusted key figures (i.e. ADJUSTEDTRANSPORT at the receiving location side) to pull product into it.
Whereas for push method you may use downstream adjusted key figures (i.e. ADJUSTEDTRANSPORTDS at the shipping location side) to push/ship product from it. Additionally, with the optimizer, you can achieve push strategy by adding high storage costs in the plant, for example. Then as soon as the plants produces something, it ships the product right away to avoid the high storage cost on the plant.
Best regards,
Matheus
