What is the use of /SCWM/WHF4 setting in SU22?

Hi all,

I have created a report that contains a warehouse data element.

I think authorization object /SCWM/WHF4 should be already set in the profile somewhere by default for warehouse value help limitation.

My question is why we need it to be maintained in SU22 as well and what if we don't maintain it here?

Hey Eric

Did you try this note it is relatively newly released on 10th May this year

3070678 - Warehouse-dependent value helps no longer display any results

It says "During the upgrade, the authorizations normally need to be reworked using transaction SU25 (see this S/4HANA help page for details). If this step was skipped, as a temporary remediation, you can assign profile SAP_NEW to the affected users, which should includes the authorization.

You can also add the authorization object /SCWM/WHF4 (with activity F4) manually to all affected user roles (PFCG roles). You can do this for multiple roles simultaneously by using the mass maintenance function in transaction PFCG by navigation to Utilities > Mass Editing of Authorizations (Ctrl+Shift+F2)."

Let me know if this helped

Regards

Vinita

Thanks for the replay, actually my point is why this authorization object was added into a t-code, I think the authorization is for the value help and even this was not configured in SU22, the authorization should work.
