What is the KEYACCOUNT?

Hi experts.

I would like you to tell me what the KEYACCOUNT is ?

the KEYACCOUNT is Attribute of Customer master data type in SAPIBP1 sample data.

The description of this attribute is key account (Y/N).

Hi darien,

As far as I understood it is just to distinguish between the key customers that are important to business vs the least importance. Once you define them Y and N, you can use them to view the data in the planning view/chart/analytics etc.

Your understanding is correct. GeneY means important one's but yes it depends on how you going to read them.
