What is the Constraints and Costs settings in optimizer settings in planning profile

Dear Team,

Currently I am debugging VSR optimizer as we are not getting desired results. while debugging came to know about these costs are also playing key role .

I have red sap documentation but no clarity .

Requesting you can you please provide more details with real time example when we use these costs( Freight unit costs & Means of Transport settings cost ) and what happens if we don't maintain these cost.

Example: Costs per quantity

The following example shows how the system calculates the costs in the case of costs per quantity from the planning costs (in a distance-independent way per transportation lane):

You want to transport a freight unit (FU) with a weight of 10 kg from A to B. You have defined costs of 5 per KG. In this case, the system calculates costs per quantity to the amount of 50.

If you transport the FU from A via C to B, the system calculates costs per quantity to the amount of 100, in other words, 50 per stage.

Need first understand what is the requirement and customizing it according.
