How does EWM handle 'internal consumption'? I am looking to find the right search term for this process.
Scenario Explanation: we consume some stock internally for purposes of marketing, or employee give-away in the warehouse. The account assignment will be for cost center, account. The outbound delivery will have a fixed internal customer.
1. what is the correct terminology or process name for this type of 'internal consumption'?
2. what does the process flow look like for the above process between ERP and EWM?
If possible, please point me to resources for further learning.
Appreciate your support in helping me understand this process and its right name in SAP!

Hi,
in EWM this can be done with a direct delivery, see the documentation: https://help.sap.com/viewer/3d97bec9bf1649099384bb8167df3cf2/9.5.0.2/en-US/25cacb53ad377114e10000000...
And I think "internal consumption" is ok.

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!

Hello sahil_shaikh ,
- it does not matter if it is embedded or decentral EWM, it always works the same.
- Yes, it is possible to start the process in ERP as well. How would you do that? You post a goods issue to cost center or whatever your account assignment is in ERP - and get a delivery in EWM. Because that's how it works.
