What disadvantages are there in IBP, if Mandatory Attribute doesn't assign to Planning Level?

Hello experts.

I have a question about Mandatory Attribute.

What disadvantages are there in IBP, if Mandatory Attribute doesn't assign to Planning Level?

For example, in the case of that "Mandatory Attribute Source Customer" (MATTRSOURCECUSTOMER) in MDT Customer Source doesn't assign to Planning Level PERPRODLOCCUST.

I understood what's Mandatory Attribute from URL. However I couldn't understand why PERPRODLOCCUST assigned only "Mandatory Attribute Source Customer" from MDT Customer Source.

Hi,

Planning objects can be created at PERPRODLOCCUST level simply by maintaining relevant records in Product, Location, Customer MDT if mandatory attribute at customer source is not assigned. In case this attribute is assigned, apart from product, location, customer MDT, relevant combination also needs to be maintained in Customer Source MDT without which system doesn't allow to create planning combination.

Maintaining mandatory attributes helps in deletion and tracking of planning objects.
