What are MRP settings for Demand Management?

Hi Experts,

We are following two ways for updating demand for material in SAP. One is through MC94 and other one is from MD61.

My question are,

1 - If we have monthly schedule with us and we are updating through MD61. What are possible settings for MRP run and MRP1, MRP2, MRP3 and MRP4 views.

2 - How we can delete old demand that are showing in MD04 at material level not plant level.

Please advice.

Hi,

1. MRP type, MRP controller, Lot size, Procurement type, schedule margin Key, Safety stock, selection method, Individual/collective requirement etc it depends upon business which ever field is required and you want to utilize that functionality.

2.You can delete manually in MD04 , Remove demand from MD62 ,

There were some error in posting date while deleting demand. It is done now. And yes I followed your ans#2 for this.

For first question I knkow these settings are required but I just want to know the best combinatio of MRP type and Lot Size?

PD with EX or PD with (MB/WB/TB)??

It depends upon business which lot size they want to use.

EX- Lot for Lot

MB - Monthly --> In this requirement of whole month will be clubbed together

Same as other lot sizes.
