Hi,

I am maintaining wave templates in SAP Public Cloud WM as follows

Then scheduled the wave creation:

Question is, why system includes to wave PDO's with goods issue date 11.11?

There are fields to select request items but no option to make the for example GI date as dynamic?

In this case I would like to select only PDO items where GI date is 4.11..

Good day @ST24

Thank you for your question.

Have a look at these references, they provide more detailed guidance:

Schedule Wave Creation, Configuration for Wave Management, Wave templates

Based on the details and screenshots you provided, the behaviour you have explained is expected in public cloud due to how the system handles dynamic date selection and wave time attributes. It is important to know that wave completion date is a fixed target date and the template time attributes are relative to the Goods Issue Date of the delivery document. Which explains why the system is not filtering based on GI date by default.

To summarise, the wave completion date is not a selection filter, it is a scheduling reference for wave timing. The system includes all PDOs eligible for wave creation even if their GI date differs. Dynamic filtering by Goods Issue Date is not supported in public cloud WM.

The best practice is to adhere to clean-core approach which entails you using the Manage Outbound Delivery Orders or Warehouse Monitor apps to pre-filter PDOs by GI date before wave creation.

See below description for step-by-step clean-core approach:

Search for Manage Outbound Delivery Orders (this option focuses on running scheduled wave creation with pre-filtered Warehouse Request Selection).

Filter by Planned Goods Issue Date = 04.11.2025

Select the filtered PDOs --> choose Create Wave from the action menu. This will trigger wave creation only for the selected documents. The system applies the Wave Template automatically based on your configuration.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Best regards

Chris
