V51vp - item was not found - process cancelled during goods issue

When trying to process the IDOC, this error comes up. But only in the system where upgrade happened. The quality system seems to be fine.

When trying to process the IDOC for PGI I get the below error.

V51VP - item was not found - process cancelled

Message No. HUGENERAL056

@Sandra_Rossi, checked the SDN thoroughly , the charg , werks and lgort looks okay. Item category is relevant for packing.

Item numbers match. Still get the error.

As I said, there are SAP notes. What about them?

There is even a KBA 2717943 - Error messages "item &1 does not exist" or "Enter batch" are shown in ERP SMQ2 in a queue ... didn't you find any relevant OSS note?

Did you actually upgrade productive system but not quality system before?

@raymond_giuseppi , First the sandbox is upgraded and testing done there and will be moving to Q and P. I checked the above note as well, no luck.

So the flags XCHPF and XCHAR are correct in VBPA and LIPS?

So lips-pckpf 'Packing Control'

• ' ' = 'Can be packed'
• 'A' = 'Must be packed'
• 'B' = 'Cannot be packed'

Check also lips-chhpv 'Pack acc. batch'

• Flag off = pack on batch split level
• Flag on  = pack on main item level

You should check Customizing wih 0VLP - Logistics General-Handling Unit Management-Basics-Delivery-Packing Control by Item Category 

• compare table TVLP between both systems

The kBA -1920577 says the lips-pckpf shd be either ' ' or 'A' , but with B in the Q system , things are working fine.

Also check for differences between deliveries created before and after the upgrade, don't hesitate to raise a case/issue with SAP Support.

@raymond_giuseppi , Just figured out only batch split is causing the issue . If the materials in the delivery has same batch , there is no error.

Yes , batch split is working fine in other systems only in upgraded system it is throwing v51vp item not found error.

@raymond_giuseppi : Hi Raymond, want to keep you posted. After debugging several hours the in FM V51P_FIND_MATERIAL, perform PERFORM find_v51vp_conventional, gt_v51vp has incorrect POSNR, hence failure and message.I am raising an issue log with SAP. Thanks for your support so far.
