Hi All,
Below is the business requirement and need your suggestions.
Description:
Few manufacturing plants has multiple virtual plant codes against them assigned due to various reasons & RFC (Supply demand) is generated against these virtual plant codes. As these virtual plant codes represent the same physical plant, resources (manufacturing equipments) associated with the physical plant are visible across all the virtual plant codes.
Issue Description:
Issue occurs when planning has to be done against these virtual plant codes.
Since the same physical equipment is mapped to multiple virtual plant codes, the planning system treats them as distinct physical plants and plans accordingly.
This results in planning output which could exceed the actual feasibility of the plant.
Expected output:
System should do the capacity planning without considering duplication of resources, helping us to perform constrained capacity planning. In other words, system will consider the demand across all the virtual plant codes (of one physical plant) and do the resource allocation based on actual availability of resources (without duplicating resource availability).
Please suggest how to achieve this with the help of APO / IBP ?
Regards,
P Sahay.
