Hello,
We are using Planning calendar functionality with TS Heuristic (Weekly Bucket) to model the weekly downtime scenarios. Due to GR time varying from 1 to 28 days we have Production lead time ranging between 0 to 4 weeks. (There is no other way to model GR time in TS world)
As planning calendar works on "Production Receipt" Key Figure (Available date) but actual Capacity consumption happens on start of Production lead time.
Here we want to really control the start of Production activity but Planning calendar by default works on end of Production lead time.
As a workaround we have created multiple planning calendar based on Various Production lead time variations but its leading too much of Planning calendar maintenance and also can lead to manual errors.
Is there anyway we can use planning calendar feature to work on start of Production activity and not at end Production activity.
Thanks
Girish

Dear girishdurg
the requirement that you have is not available in default in IBP as of now.I dont know if you come from a APO background or not, but if you do, then periodic factor field in product master is exactly meant for controlling the start date of production, where 0 means at the start of the week, .5 means mid of the and 1 means end of the week.
Raise a OSS to SAP and request them to provide the additional parameter and the values thru which you can control the start of the production. the additional parameter needs to be updated in your heusristic profile under S&OP operator.
Hope this helps

Dear abishnu1981
Thanks for your response.
APO Period factor functionality and our scenario/requirement are totally different.
Now we have shared our scenario/requirement with SAP IBP TS Supply Product Manager and they are looking into it
