Uploading Data to S/4HANA On-Premise from BTP HANA Cloud DB Using SDI Integration

Hi Experts,

I have a urgent requirement to upload or insert a large volume of data into a S/4HANA On-Premise system from BTP HANA Cloud DB using SDI Integration.

Could anyone confirm if this is a feasible approach? Is it possible to upload data directly into the S/4HANA On-Premise system?

I connected the S/4HANA system using the ABAPAdapter, accessed all the tables, and created Virtual Tables. However, I encountered an issue when trying to insert data into the Virtual Tables

Can anyone guide me on the correct approach to achieve this? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Note: We need to do this by using SDI only

Hi, are you really trying to insert data to a virtual table? As far as I understand, you want to do data replication (and not virtualisation). Then, shouldn't you habe a target table on the target system? And mustn't you rather insert the data to that target table than to a virtual table?

Seems you want to replicate data to S/4HANA On-Premise system, then please setup SDI to use S/4 hana as target and "BTP HANA Cloud DB" as source through HANAAdapter to do replication. From SDI user case point of view, this should work, but you have to confirm if it is allowed to change the HANA database for S/4 hana directly through replication since this is application related tables.
