unrestricted stock and safety stock in GATP

Hi Experts,

I have unrestricted stock and safety stock, I want to move this unrestricted stock and safety stock to APO and want to do the ATP check in the sales order only on unrestricted stock.

Parameter Dependent ATP Safety Stock. This Stocks which are not subject to sales order confirmation and only can be confirmed by manual operation to the sales order.

Please let me know How we can move the unrestricted stock and safety stock to APO? How can we differentiate these two in APO.

I know unrestricted stock can be moved via CIF but How can we move the safety stock to APO. What set up is required for this?

Thanks for your mail...If we do not specify the quantity in the location product as I shown the picture above then how system consider the safety stock qty without specify any where in the system? You mentioned that no need to maintain the value in the location product? Then how system consider the safety stock qty?

Is that safety stock qty consider during the BOPI and BOP?

You mentioned the safety stock which has protects will not be consider during the BOPI? Is that same behavior in BOP also?

BOP will check same as Sales orders availability checks. But BOPI gives you flexibility to override the ATP rules. So you will be able to override the Sales orders confirmation according to your requirement.

Do you want me include both CB and SR categories OR only SR in scope of check/ check control in APO?

What is the difference between CB and SR?

To achieve this Do you want me specify below required set up in location product in APO?

It depends on your requirement.

Try for SR for now and see if its working fine or not.

Also screenshot that you mentioned its mainly for planning purpose not for availability check, so no need to maintain that.

So you want me include the SR (Safety Stock as Requirement) as a category in APO under Maintain Check Control to avoid safety stock when order confirmation.

I think if we add SR in APO under the check control then It will consider the safety stock during creation of sales order.- but i am not test it.

APO safety stock should not be included automatically during creation of sales order VA01.

Hi Prasnop,

If you add something as requirement in Check control, it reserves some stock under that category and hence its not available to confirm to Sales order. Test it and you ll get to know.

For for manual operation , you can use interactive BOPI(T code- /SAPAPO/BOPI) to allocate to the orders. BOPI can override any ATP rule defined.

Hi Prasnop,

In ECC, you have Unrestricted stock and restricted stock mainly. And in material master you define out of that stock how much you want to have as safety stock. There is no separate category in ECC for safety stock.

But in APO, you have different ATP categories for Unrestricted stock/restricket stock/Safety stock. Standard ATP Category for Safety stock in APO is SR.

So if you want to exclude Safety stock from Order confirmation then include SR as requirement in the Scope of check of Sales order. That will make sure safety stock quantity is not included in the available quantity for Sales orders.
