Is it possible to perform consumption to a process order in EWM for an item that's not on the PMR? Unplanned Consumption? If yes, could you share how?
Request clarification before answering.
Hi Vikas,
as far as I know, not.
You need PMR or Delivery for this. I guess it won't be possible manually create delivery for consumption, but you can try to customize that it is possible. If you have no PMR, consumption triggered in ERP, and you get delivery, in this case consumption can be posted automatically for this delivery.

Thanks Daniil. I came to the same conclusion. But from a business process perspective, it does not make sense. In a process industry we have alternates all the time, we cannot possibly consume in ECC for each HU that was not in the process order BOM.
I tried the maintain the alternates with 0 quantity on the Process Order BOM but those items do not come over to EWM PMR at all and hence can't consume in EWM
Hi Vikas,
I guess you need to have a linkage (reference) between consumption posting and a production/process order.
do you mean material B posted instead of material A? Or what is the process? Why this posting is required from EWM side? If it is clear should be so, it must be possible with development. In EWM user says "I would like to post 5 PC of product B for the order 123" ?
